There is no single price that fits every UK small business. A simple service website and a vehicle stock website with filters, regular listings and integrations involve different work. The examples below are our published starting prices, rather than a UK-wide average or a promise that every project fits a fixed package.

What do our website packages cost?

Start with the outcome you need: a clear website, a faster launch or a complete brand and website. These options have different inclusions.

From £495 one-off

Up to five pages, mobile-friendly design, an enquiry form, basic search engine set-up and content guidance. Usually 2–4 weeks once the required material and feedback are available.

How much should you allow for the first year?

Compare the same period and include the services you actually want. The lowest initial payment does not necessarily produce the lowest first-year total.

Example: Website Starter plus 12 months of care

At the starting prices, £495 for the build + £49 × 12 for hosting and care = £1,083.

This example excludes the domain and any other separately quoted fees. It assumes the standard scope and 12 full months of the £49 care service. It is an illustration, not a fixed all-inclusive quote.

Example: the managed monthly option

£149 × 12 = £1,788. The plan includes the build, a standard .co.uk domain for the first year, hosting and the stated care service during the term. The first payment secures the project, followed by 11 monthly payments.

The two offers have different inclusions. The managed option spreads the cost and includes support throughout the agreement; it should not be described as the £495 build divided into monthly instalments.

After all 12 payments, you can continue with hosting and Website Care from £49 a month, subject to the service agreed then, or arrange a suitable transfer. Domain renewal and any paid services must also be budgeted for.

Which ongoing website costs should you check?

  • Domain: your web address has registration and renewal costs. The first-year inclusion in our managed plan is one standard .co.uk domain; premium domains are excluded.
  • Hosting and care: hosting keeps the site available. Our care service also includes agreed technical checks and small updates. Check the actual scope, rather than comparing it only with a basic hosting subscription.
  • Business email: mailbox subscriptions are separate from website hosting unless expressly included. Business email hosting is excluded from the managed plan.
  • Paid tools: booking systems, payment services, premium software and integrations may involve additional charges.
  • Changes: new pages, redesigns and larger changes need a separate quote. The managed plan includes up to 30 minutes for one small update each month, with no rollover of unused time.

What makes a website cost more?

Page count is only part of the work. Full copywriting, original branding, product or vehicle data, online payments, booking tools, complex integrations and a tight deadline can all change the scope. A five-page brochure website is not the same project as a stock management system with five main navigation links.

If you already have a suitable logo, good images and clear wording, a website-only package may be enough. If those foundations are missing, agreeing the brand and content work at the beginning makes the quote more useful.

Which option would we recommend?

For a straightforward service business with content ready and the budget available, we would start by considering Website Starter. For a business that wants a managed first year and prefers regular payments, we would compare the £149 plan with the full first-year cost of the one-off route.

If you need branding, copywriting and social profiles as well, we would assess Business Launch or Complete. We would only suggest priority delivery when the deadline justifies it. If you are deciding whether to build your own site, read our DIY versus professional website guide.

What should a written website quote explain?

  • The pages, features and work included.
  • Who supplies the wording, photographs and brand assets.
  • The total payable, payment schedule and whether VAT applies.
  • Domain, hosting, email, renewal and third-party costs.
  • The platform, editing access, ownership and transfer arrangements.
  • Revision limits, support and what larger changes cost.
  • Timing, dependencies and any minimum commitment or cancellation terms.

Basic search engine set-up is a foundation for visibility. It does not guarantee rankings, enquiries or sales, and ongoing SEO is separate unless your proposal includes it.
