Website & service terms
Set Up & Seen is the trading name of a sole trader based in Worcestershire. These terms explain how this website may be used and the basis on which website, branding, social media and marketing services are offered. The proprietor’s full legal identity, address for service and the precise contract terms for your project are supplied directly in the written proposal before a contract is formed.
Website information
We aim to keep the information on this website clear and current, but general website content and starting prices are not a binding offer. A project becomes binding only when the written proposal has been accepted and the agreed 50% initial payment or full payment has been received. A payment link must be used only for the named project and does not add work outside the accepted scope.
Quotes, scope and payment
Your proposal will describe the deliverables, total price, whether VAT applies, payment schedule, timescale, included revisions and any third-party costs. Unless the proposal states another agreed schedule, you may pay either 50% initially or the full project price. If you choose 50%, the remaining 50% is due before the website is launched or final files are released. Work outside the agreed scope will be discussed and quoted before it is carried out.
When work begins
Work begins only after the proposal is accepted, the initial or full payment has cleared, the requested content and access have been supplied, and Set Up & Seen has confirmed the project start date in writing. Paying in full does not cause work to begin before those other requirements are complete.
Timings and the express service
The Website Starter is normally completed within 2–4 weeks after the requirements above are complete. The Express Website Set Up is completed within a maximum of five working days once those same requirements are complete and the agreed express slot begins. Delayed content, feedback, access or approvals pause the delivery timetable and may require a revised start or launch date. Third-party platform or domain delays are outside our direct control.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for supplying accurate information, lawful content, appropriate permissions for images and other materials, and timely feedback. You must not ask us to publish material that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringes another person’s rights.
Revisions and acceptance
The included revision stages will be shown in your proposal. Additional changes may be quoted separately. You will be asked to review and approve key work before launch or final delivery. Minor faults reported promptly will be corrected in line with the agreed scope.
Ownership and third-party services
Unless the proposal says otherwise, copyright in the final approved custom logo, written copy and design assets created specifically for the project transfers to the client after full payment. Set Up & Seen retains ownership of unused concepts, working files, reusable methods and pre-existing materials. Fonts, software, stock assets, platforms, domains and other third-party materials remain subject to their own licences and charges. The client’s domain remains the client’s property.
Hosting and ongoing support
Website Care is a monthly service whose included hosting, checks, updates, support limits, renewal arrangements and notice period will be stated in the proposal. If Website Care ends, we will explain the reasonable handover or transfer options for the website and domain. Larger changes, premium software and third-party charges are not included unless expressly stated.
Cancellation
Business clients may cancel only in accordance with the written proposal. An initial payment is not described as automatically non-refundable: any refund will take account of work already completed, agreed third-party costs and the cancellation terms in the accepted proposal. If you are contracting as a consumer, applicable UK cancellation rights will be explained before the contract is formed. Where you expressly ask us to start during a statutory cancellation period, you may have to pay for work completed up to cancellation, and the right to cancel may end once the service has been fully performed with the required agreement.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for indirect losses, loss caused by inaccurate client material, or failures of third-party services outside our reasonable control. Any project-specific limits will be stated fairly in the written proposal.
Contact and governing law
Questions may be sent to info@setupandseen.co.uk or raised by calling 01384 492406. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
